ACMPR

ACMPR renewal (FAQ)

Your registration does not last forever. These answers cover when to renew, what changes, and how to avoid a gap.

How long is an ACMPR registration valid?

It is tied to your medical document, and Health Canada limits the document’s period of use to a maximum of one year. So you renew at least yearly.

When should I start the renewal?

A couple of months before expiry. That covers Health Canada’s processing time so you do not end up with a gap where you cannot legally grow.

What happens if my registration lapses?

You are no longer authorized to grow until you renew. Get a current medical document and submit a clean renewal as soon as possible.

Should I just renew at the same amount as last time?

Treat renewal as a fresh look. An amount that was fine before should still be one your practitioner can defend today — especially given tighter 2026 enforcement.
